Update: We swapped out our old daily site logs for a simple photo app and it cut our meeting time in half
We used to have the foreman fill out a paper log every day, then someone would type it up. It was a mess and took forever. Last month, we started using a basic photo app where they just snap pictures of the site and add a short voice note. The whole team can see it right away on their phones. Our Monday morning review meeting went from a full hour to about 30 minutes because everyone was already up to speed. Has anyone else found a better way to handle daily reports without a fancy, expensive system?

My old system was a stack of sticky notes that would blow away in the wind. A photo app sounds way smarter than my method of trying to read my own terrible handwriting later. What kind of voice notes do you have them record, just the main things that happened that day?

That old paper log system sounds like a real headache. It's amazing how a simple photo and a quick voice memo can clear things up so much. I bet hearing the foreman's own voice explain things cuts down on a lot of confusion too.

Actually, the voice memos are more for safety notes and small details. The main daily log still needs written entries for legal reasons... photos just back it up. It's less about replacing paper and more about having proof.
