PSA: Stop printing daily reports on paper, I watched a supers binder from the Point Breeze job get soaked last week
I ran a small crew in Philly for 9 years and every morning was the same drill, print 14 pages, stuff them in a binder, hope nobody leaves it on a truck bed in the rain. Last week the super on my current job left his binder outside overnight and 3 weeks of daily logs turned into pulp, plus the GC wanted photos he never had. So we moved everything to a phone app 8 months ago and now the foreman snaps pics and logs hours before he leaves the site. I get that older guys hate thumbing a screen with gloves on, but losing a whole month of records to one rainstorm is way worse. Anybody found a way to make app based reporting actually stick with crews who are 55 and up?
