Switched from paper notes to voice memos for tracking surveillance spots
I used to carry a little notebook everywhere to jot down license plates and weird van locations. Then in April, my notebook fell out of my pocket at a gas station in Phoenix and someone turned it in to the manager. Now I just use voice memos on my phone and transcribe them later at home. Has anyone else had trouble keeping physical evidence low key?

My cousin lost his whole notebook in a Walmart parking lot in Tucson last year and three weeks later some guy showed up at his door asking about "the white van on Cherry Street." I stick to voice memos now too but I whisper them so nobody walking past thinks I'm talking to myself.

@ninas67 fr, I always drop a fake name in my voice memos just in case.

That thing about your cousin with the Walmart parking lot and the white van guy is exactly what made me switch over. I used to think paper was safer somehow but that story changed my mind completely.
