Thermal paste pump-out on GPUs, why does nobody warn you about it
I was swapping a cooler on my 3-year-old 3080 last week and the die was nearly bare in the middle, looked up pump-out online and now I'm wondering how many of us are out there with hot cards from just standard mounting pressure?
Wait, you actually pulled the cooler and saw bare die in the middle? I always figured pump-out was mostly a laptop thing and that desktops were fine with stock mounting. Now I'm side eyeing my own 3080 that's been running hot for a year lol.
