Hit 1000 service calls logged last Tuesday and it hit me different
I've been doing onsite computer repair for about 4 years now, mostly residential stuff in the suburbs around here. Last Tuesday I was updating my CRM and noticed the job count was sitting at 1000 exactly. That's a lot of dead hard drives and sticky keyboards. It just made me think about how many hours I've actually spent driving between houses and arguing with people about why their printer wont connect. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like that and just stopped for a second?

1000 calls is just a number in a database though. You probably hit 1000 and then went right back to fixing the same Dell Latitude that's been crashing since Windows 10. Numbers like that don't mean anything until you make them mean something. Getting sentimental about a job count feels like trying to put a sticker on a dead horse. If you want a real milestone, count how many times you've had to explain that turning it off and on again actually works.

Haha yeah, nothing like celebrating 1000 calls by immediately getting flooded with "my printer is out of ink" tickets (I mean, is it though?).

Used to think the same way honestly. But sitting at 1000 calls made me realize how many people actually trusted me to fix their stuff.
