Hit 500 miles on my e-bike commute this morning - is that a lot or not?
I started biking to work in Portland six months ago and today my odometer hit 500 miles exactly. That's about 20 miles a week just going back and forth to the office. For those of you who commute by bike or electric scooter, do you track your miles or does that seem like a pointless number?

I started tracking my miles too, and it made a bigger difference than I expected. Harper_foster is right, it really does make the rainy days feel more worth it when you can look back and see progress. I just use a free app on my phone, no need for anything fancy. 500 miles in six months is solid, especially for an e-bike where you're still getting out there regularly. Keep it up, that number will hit 1000 before you know it.

Maybe it's just me but I used a little notebook and a pen for a while to track my runs. Something about physically writing it down made me more aware of the distance adding up. Rainy days definitely feel less crummy when you can look back and see 20 miles for the week already.
