The barista at Blue Oak ruined my whole Saturday routine
I went to my usual spot on Powell Street last weekend, same time I always do around 9:15, and they had a new person working who kept the music volume at about 85 when I asked them to lower it. They said 'the owner wants it energetic' and then my americano came out lukewarm with no crema. I ended up taking my laptop to the library across town instead, but the whole thing threw off my focus for the next two hours. Has anyone else had a trusted coffee shop change staff and suddenly the vibe just falls apart in one visit?
