Serious question, does the "no wifi" coffee shop thing actually work or is it just a gimmick
There is a tiny place near me in Portland that puts a sign on the door every Saturday saying no wifi, and I always rolled my eyes because who pays $6 for a latte just to stare at a wall. Last weekend I got dragged there by a friend and ended up talking to a stranger about her beekeeping hobby for like 40 minutes, which never happens to me anywhere else. Is this a real thing that other shops do, or did I just get lucky with one chatty stranger?
