A regular at The Daily Grind in Austin said my laptop glare was blinding him

He pointed out that my screen was angled right into his eyes from across the table. I mean, I never even thought about it. Now I always check my screen angle before I set up, and I try to grab a corner seat. Anyone else have a small coffee shop habit they had to change because of someone else?

Honestly I keep a microfiber cloth in my laptop bag just for this. A quick wipe cuts the glare way down. I also try to sit with my back to the window now, it stops that harsh reflection. Tbh it took a few times of getting the evil eye from other customers to make it a habit.

Sounds like a lot of work to me.

You know, I read a blog post once about "screen etiquette" in public. The writer called laptop glare a form of light pollution, like when someone leaves their brights on in a parking lot. They said the worst spots are those long communal tables where one screen can hit three people. Makes you realize it's a shared space, right? What's the most considerate tech habit you've picked up?
