The customer who watched me debug for 45 minutes then asked one question that fixed it

Had this guy at the coffee shop in Austin last Tuesday who saw me struggling with a Python script on my laptop. He just watched quietly until I was about to give up, then asked 'did you check your indentation after that if statement?' I hadn't. Three lines were off by one space. Has anyone else had a stranger just casually solve your coding problem by asking the most obvious thing?

Gotta laugh at myself here cause I've been that guy staring at a wall for an hour only to have my wife say "did you plug it in" and yep I hadn't. Its like our brains just lock up and refuse to see the obvious stuff. The worst part is after they point it out you feel like the biggest idiot on earth but also super grateful at the same time. I swear debugging is 90% waiting for someone else to come look at your screen and ask the dumbest question possible.

Gotta disagree, that stranger saved you way more time than you lost.
