I was running my coolant at 8% for years because that's how I learned, but a chip color check from a new guy made me rethink everything.

That's just how it goes with a lot of stuff we learn early on, lol. You get shown one way to do something and it becomes gospel, even if it's not the best method. It takes someone with fresh eyes coming in to point out the obvious thing you've been missing for years.

Honestly when you said "the obvious thing you've been missing for years" it hit me. @barbarah19 I just realized last week I've been peeling bananas from the stem end my whole life. Someone saw me and was like "you know you can pinch the bottom and it opens easier, right?" My mind was blown. It's the little things you never question.
