Back when I used to eyeball tool offsets on my old Haas

I used to just guess at my tool offsets on my Haas VF-2 back in 2018. That led to some pretty wild crashes and scrap parts. Now I always set them with a laser tool setter, and it saves me about 15 minutes per setup. Anyone else make the switch from guessing to a presetter?

Figure I gotta ask @lunaf67 if the anticipation ever actually paid off... like, did you ever pull something out of there that was way better than you expected? Or was it just a lot of waiting for a pile of clothes that still had to be folded... I'm curious if the magic ever lived up to the build up.
