My brother told me to stop buying bottled water and just use a filter at home.

He said I was wasting a ton of plastic and money, so I got a basic pitcher filter six months ago. I've saved about $200 and filled way less recycling bins, which feels good. Has anyone else made a small switch that added up like this?

That "filled way less recycling bins" part got me. I always thought my few bottles a week were no big deal until I saw the pile at the end of the month. Switching to a filter made the difference way more real than just thinking about it.
