I just switched from a gas mower to a push reel mower for my small yard

For years I thought a reel mower was a joke, but my neighbor in Portland showed me his quiet, clean lawn last month. I bought a basic model for about $100 and tried it on my quarter acre. It takes a bit more effort, but the lack of fumes and noise is a real win. Has anyone else made a switch like this and found it easier than they expected?

I get the quiet part, but man my back was killing me after a week. Switched back to electric and never looked back lol.
