Hit 10k miles on my ebike commuting, but my grid is 70% coal

Tbh I thought I was doing great cutting car trips, but I checked our local energy mix last week and almost fell over. 10,000 miles on an ebike still means tons of CO2 if the power behind it is dirty. Anyone else factoring grid source into their transport math, or am I overthinking this?

That's a real bummer, man. It sucks to put in all that effort and then realize the background power is still dirty. You're not overthinking it at all, it's just a newer problem for folks like us who switched to electric early. Still, don't forget the other wins too, less traffic, no oil changes, way less brake dust, and you're pushing the grid to get cleaner with your demand. Keep at it, the math will get better on its own.
