Serious question, what happened to the street cleaning schedule?

When I bought my house ten years ago, the streets were swept every month without fail. Now, I see leaves and trash pile up for weeks. It makes the neighborhood look bad and might hurt our home values. I asked the city about it and they said budget cuts. But come on, we pay taxes for this. Maybe we can all write letters or something. Idk, just feels like things are slipping.

I mean look, they're putting it into roads and schools and keeping the lights on at the park down the street. Maybe it's just me but I get why @ray_miller84 is annoyed, idk, we all are. But some of that cash is going to stuff we'd really miss if it was gone, like fire trucks and fixing potholes. It's easy to only see the waste but a lot of it is just boring, basic upkeep that no one really notices until it breaks.
