Helping a family find a house with two offices got me thinking

Last week, I met with buyers who both have jobs done from home, so they wanted separate rooms for that. It made me see how many Cleveland folks might need extra space now. I even turned my basement nook into a spot for my laptop and files. What clever ways have you found to fit job space into your home? Let's chat about making our houses work for us!

That closet office idea can work really well. I know someone who took the doors off and built a desk that folds flat to the wall when not in use. Another person used the space under their stairs for a built in desk and some shelves. It's about finding those odd corners and making them useful. Good lighting is key though, or it just feels like you're stuck in a cupboard.

Yeah that "basement nook" idea is smart. I read about people turning closets into tiny offices too.

My old apartment had a walk-in closet I only used for storage. I used to think small spaces like that were pointless for an office. But after seeing a friend set up a desk and lamp in theirs, I changed my mind. They added a bright LED strip and a fold-out table, and it became a quiet spot to focus.
