I switched from a basic brush to a rotary system three months ago and the difference is wild

For years I just used a standard fiberglass rod with a poly brush, scraping away for what felt like forever on a standard flue. Then I saw a guy at the trade show in Charlotte using a SootSweeper 2000 rotary head with flexible rods. I bought one the next week. Now I can clear a 12 inch clay liner in under 20 minutes with way less dust because the spinning action pulls debris down better. Has anyone else made a switch like this and noticed a big jump in speed?

Yeah, that "takes forever" feeling is the worst. I felt the same way before I upgraded my gear.

Wow, that's a huge time difference. I'm still on the old brush and rod setup, and yeah it takes forever. How's the learning curve with the rotary system? Like, did it feel weird to handle at first or was it pretty easy to get the hang of?

Honestly, how bad were my first tries? Picture a dog trying to hold a power drill. It was that kind of weird! My brain just could not get the wrist motion right for a solid week. I kept jerking it and making these wild lines. But then it just clicks one day, and you stop fighting the spin. Now going back to a rod feels like trying to write with my opposite hand.
