DAE have a kitchen flop turn into a lucky break?

I overcooked the carrots for a puree and they turned to mush. Blended them with some herbs anyway, and the texture was perfect for a new soup special.

Saving overcooked carrots with soup is smart, but is it really a failure in the first place? Idk, maybe I'm too laid back about kitchen mess-ups.

Overcooked rice turns into fried rice pretty easy. Burnt toast gets scraped and becomes croutons.
