My car's odometer hit 200,000 miles on the drive home from a random Tuesday trip to the hardware store.

Read an article once that said the real secret is listening to the car. That little squeak when you turn, the slight hum from a wheel bearing... catching those tiny sounds early saves so much trouble down the road. It's like the car is talking to you, telling you what it needs before a small thing becomes a big, expensive thing. Just paying attention to those weird little noises and feelings can keep it going forever.

Congrats on the milestone. My old pickup crossed that line a few years back. Keeping up with regular oil changes and fixing small things before they got big kept it running smooth.

Nice. People forget how much the little stuff matters, like swapping out old rubber hoses and belts before they crack. That's what usually leaves you stranded, not the big parts failing.
