Just realized the bus stop by the library has become a weirdly nice spot to talk to people
I was waiting there for 20 minutes yesterday and ended up having a full conversation with a stranger about the best local pizza, which never happens when I'm just walking down the street.

Guess the secret ingredient to human connection is just being trapped in one place for a while. Maybe we should all just stand in line more often. That bus stop is doing more for community than any app ever could. Next they'll start charging rent for those prime conversation spots.

Exactly, @jake986. I had a ten minute chat with a stranger last week because we were both stuck waiting for a late train. We talked about the weather and his dog. Felt more real than any online group I've ever joined. Forced downtime is the only thing that makes us look up from our screens anymore.

What if we scheduled forced downtime?
