Pro tip: That seam roller I always thought was a gimmick? It saved my hide on a tricky commercial job last week
I always figured those little hand seam rollers were just a upsell at the supply house, but after struggling with a long hallway seam in a new office building (over 50 feet of it), I grabbed one on a whim. It flattened everything perfect in half the time - has anyone else had a tool they ignored for years that turned out to be a game changer?

Wait, fifty feet of seam and you didn't have one already? I would've lost my mind trying to do that with just a knee kicker and a prayer. I remember the first time I used a seam roller on a sticky backed carpet tile job, I just couldnt believe how much smoother it went compared to pressing down with my hands. Makes you wonder what other "gimmicks" are secretly lifesavers.

Seam rollers are just another thing to clean and lose. I've done miles of carpet with nothing but a knee kicker and some elbow grease and never had a problem. Half the new tools people swear by are just ways to spend money you didn't need to.
