Finally figured out the seam roller trick for thick berber
Was struggling with seams showing on a 80oz berber install in a living room last week, then tried using a cold roller instead of room temp. Has anyone else noticed temperature making that big of a difference with heavy carpets?

Notice how the same principle applies to almost everything - cold tools grab better and hot ones just slide around and make a mess.

Yeah cold roller is the move for heavy berber every time. Keeps the backing from getting soft and actually lets the glue grab without the seams trying to separate. Used an ice pack on mine once in a pinch, worked great.
