Just realized my dado stack cuts were always off because of something stupid

I spent like two years frustrated with my dado cuts on plywood shelves here in Portland. Always a tiny gap, always had to shim things. Last week I finally checked my table saw arbor flange for rust and grime buildup. Cleaned it off with some mineral spirits and a wire brush, tightened everything back up, and suddenly my cuts are dead flat. I honestly thought the saw was just getting old or something. Has anyone else had a simple cleanup fix that made a huge difference in accuracy?

Now you get to enjoy all those "perfect" cuts with the added bonus of feeling slightly dumb for not checking earlier.

That's a good reminder to check the simple stuff first before buying new tools.
