Why does nobody talk about the hidden fees in those online career coaching calls?

I signed up for a free 15 minute call with a coach in Austin last month and ended up with a $200 charge for a "strategy packet" I never asked for, so has anyone else gotten hit with surprise billing from these career services?

Ok so this whole scam is way more common than people realize lol. I actually read a report from the Better Business Bureau that said career coaching calls are one of the top sources of hidden fees and billing disputes last year. @jennifer204 you're not wrong at all it's like they charge you for a dinner you didn't even eat. The crazy part is these companies bank on people being too embarrassed to fight the charge or just forgetting about it until it's too late. I had to call my bank and dispute it after a similar thing happened to me with some "resume review" service. Total joke honestly.
