My worst week at work taught me the one question I should ask before taking any job
I spent 5 days training under a guy in Omaha who quit on my last day and left me with zero notes on 14 clients. Now I ask one thing in every interview: who trained the last person in this role, and are they still here? What question do you wish you'd asked before saying yes to a job?
Waited five days to find out the trainer was already halfway out the door? That's not bad luck, that's a company that knew and didn't care. Fourteen clients with zero notes means somebody above him was fine watching you sink. My go to question now is how long the last person in this seat lasted, and if they dodge it, that's your answer.
