My friend bailed on our hike, so I looked up local history instead
I found out the empty lot near my apartment was a drive-in movie theater in the 1960s. Read about it on the town's digital archive page for an hour. Anyone know other weird local history spots I could check out next time plans fall through?

Honestly, how much time can you spend on a digital archive about a parking lot? It's a neat fact, but it's not like you discovered buried treasure. Seems like a lot of effort for a story you'll tell once and then forget.

Cool find but is it that deep? Just an old parking lot now. Town archives are a rabbit hole for sure, but maybe just find a new hiking buddy instead.
