Small win with my payment flow at the Vancouver Fintech Meetup
I was at the Vancouver Fintech Meetup last Tuesday and someone from Wealthsimple pointed out my checkout was asking for billing info twice. I fixed it that night and saw my conversion jump from 2.1% to 3.5% in 3 days. It was such a simple thing I had overlooked for months. Has anyone else had a tiny change like that make a big difference for their app?

Hold your horses a bit. A 1.4% bump in three days is nice and all, but it could just be random noise or a lucky week, not a permanent fix. Let's see if that number holds for a full month before calling it a game changer.

Totally been there. I once spent like a whole WEEK trying to optimize for mobile users and then realized my stupid form was just auto-filling the same email address twice for half of them. I fixed it by just adding a "use same address" checkbox and my completion rate went from like 1.8% to 3.2% in like a day. It was SO obvious in hindsight but I was too busy tweaking colors and fonts to notice the ACTUAL problem. These little UX wins feel SO good when they work out.

wait, did you really have a bug where it was actually DUPLICATING the email or was it just seeming to fill the same one? because that sounds like a nightmare to debug honestly. those little checkbox wins are the BEST though, way better than wasting time on colors that nobody cares about.
