Just realized my $180 hot air station was the best money I ever spent
Everyone says you need a $600 Hakko for board work, but I've reflowed maybe 40 camera logic boards with a cheap 858D and it's never once let me down. The one time I bought an expensive name brand unit it died in 3 weeks and the seller ghosted me. What's the most you've ever paid for a tool that turned out to be a total waste?
Man, you just got lucky with that one unit, and acting like price never matters is how people fry $400 worth of boards. Cheap clones have zero QC, so you're basically gambling every time you power it on.
