A customer called my CLA work sloppy, they had a point about my cleaning habits

They said I left a smudge on the rear element and sure enough, I was rushing through the final wipe with a dry cloth. For the last 2 weeks I've been using a lens pen first, then a microfiber with one drop of solution, and I've had zero complaints since. Anyone else get called out on something small that fixed a bigger habit?

Ever tried doing a final pass with a headlamp or a bright phone light? That's the only way I caught my own sloppy streaks, especially on black gear where smudges hide. It sounds dumb but now I do a visual sweep before I call anything done, and it forces me to slow down on that last wipe every single time. You probably already have the cleaning routine locked in, but the light trick makes the habit stick because you can't argue with what you see. Good on you for taking the feedback and actually fixing it, most folks just get defensive.
