Hit 1,200 pounds of trim in a single shift last Friday and I still can't believe it
I've been cutting for about 8 years now and my personal best was always around 900 pounds. But last Friday we had a big load come in and I just got in the zone, kept the knife sharp and moved steady. Has anyone else had one of those days where everything just clicks without you really trying?

Heard a pro trimmer say the same thing happens when you find your flow state.

Oh wow, that is incredible! I've had that happen a couple times too and it really is something else. There was one afternoon last spring where I hit over a thousand pounds on a batch of really sticky stuff and I didn't even realize how fast I was going until I looked at the clock. It's like your hands just know what to do and your mind quiets down completely. That clicking sound of a well sharpened blade through clean trim is a beautiful thing when you're in that groove.

Oh I gotta jump in on that "well sharpened blade" thing because that's actually not quite right. You don't really want a razor sharp blade for wet trim. A slightly duller edge actually does better on sticky material - it kinda pushes through the resin instead of just gliding over it. Too sharp and you end up scraping your fingers more and the blade clogs up faster. Found that out the hard way after ruining a whole batch of good scissors. But yeah that flow state is real, you're totally right about the mind going quiet.
