Sole proprietor vs LLC - picked wrong one at first
Started my HVAC biz as a sole proprietor two years ago because I didn't want the paperwork hassle. Then a customer slipped on my tools and threatened to sue, scared me straight into forming an LLC for $300 with LegalZoom. Anyone else deal with that panic moment before switching?

Picked wrong one at first" is basically my story too. That lawsuit scare was exactly what made me finally pay the $300 and get it done.

Did you end up finding a good lawyer or just go the online route? Man, that panic feeling when you realize you might be in over your head is no joke. I put mine off forever too, and it was honestly just the stress of not knowing that got me, not the actual money. Good on you for biting the bullet though, that weight off your shoulders is worth way more than the $300. Now you can actually sleep at night without picturing legal letters.
