Skeptical about a $99 legal template shop, but it actually held up when a client went quiet on me
I needed a basic freelance contract fast and did not want to pay a lawyer $400 for a two page doc. So I grabbed a $99 template pack from a small shop in Portland and figured it would fall apart the second anything got weird. Then a client stalled on a $3,200 invoice and my payment clause did its job after I sent one demand letter based on the template. Curious if anyone here has used template packs for real disputes, or did you end up hiring a lawyer to clean it up anyway?
