Went 3 months without a future log and survived, but it was messy

I started a new job back in October and got so busy I just stopped updating my future log for 3 straight months. Big mistake, I nearly double booked a dentist trip in February and missed a friend's wedding RSVP deadline by 2 days. The weird thing is my weekly spreads kept working fine, I just lost the big picture stuff. Now I'm back to it but I put it on the first page of every month instead of the back of the notebook. Anyone else ditch their future log during chaos and pick it back up differently?
