Update: My dog decided my monthly log was a chew toy yesterday
I left my bullet journal open on the couch while I grabbed a drink. My puppy jumped up and gnawed on the corner of the page with my April plans. The teeth marks ripped right through my 'garden planting' task list. But it gave me a funny story to doodle around, and now that spread has more character than any other.

Love that. daniel_martin is totally right about the wabi-sabi thing. My old planner would be ruined, but your fix with the doodles is way better. It's not just a plan anymore, it's a real memory from your month. Those perfect journals are boring. This one actually has a story.

Wasn't it such a relief when you stopped trying to make your stuff perfect? I used to get so mad at myself for any little mistake in my notes. Now a coffee stain or a wrong pen color just makes the page feel more real, like you actually lived your life instead of just writing about it. That wabi-sabi idea totally changed how I see my own messy projects.

Your chewed page is basically wabi-sabi in action, finding beauty in the flaws.
