Used to throw $200 a month at takeout, now I meal prep every Sunday
I was spending about $200 a month on DoorDash until I added it up last January and nearly choked. Now I batch cook chili and rice bowls for the whole week for $40. Has anyone else made the swap and actually stuck with it for more than 3 months?

Stop acting like $200 a month is some crazy amount, you probably waste more on beer or something.

Wait, are you seriously saying $200 a month isn't a lot for someone just trying to get by? Because that's like my entire grocery budget for one person if I'm careful. I get that you might be coming from a different place financially but for a lot of people that's a huge chunk of change, not "beer money" territory. And honestly, judging what someone else spends their cash on isn't really fair either, people have different priorities and bills to cover.

Nearly choked is right, I had the same moment. Been meal prepping for 8 months now and it's the only habit that's actually stuck. My wallet is way happier and honestly the food tastes better than most delivery stuff.
