Pro tip: that $12 airport sandwich cooler bundle saved me $80 in Chicago
I fly out of Midway a few times a year and always got wrecked by food prices past security. Last trip I grabbed one of those $12 sandwich and drink bundles at the newsstand before my gate and it held me over for a 6 hour layover. Normally I drop $80 or more on airport food and coffee over a trip like that, so this felt like a cheat code. The catch is you have to buy it before security or at one of the shops that still does the deal, since some terminals jack the price up. Does anyone have a go to airport food move that beats packing your own?
