Heads up about those 'cheap' bulk spice packs online
I chose a $5 pack over my usual grocery store jars to save cash, but the flavor was so weak I had to use double the amount. What's your go-to spot for affordable spices that actually taste like something?

That's the worst, when trying to save money just costs you more in the long run. Have you checked if those bulk packs have a packed-on date or any freshness info? Sometimes that cheap stuff has been sitting in a warehouse for years. My local co-op has a way better bulk section than the online stuff.

Why do so many cheap things now just feel like paying for LESS?

Totally. That "paying for LESS" feeling is spot on. I bought a cheap toaster that only browns one side of the bread. Saved five bucks and now I have to manually rotate every slice. The worst is the "value pack" of paper towels that are basically single-ply tissue paper. You use three times as much, so the math doesn't work at all.
