My brother said my plant care was missing the point
We were looking at my fiddle leaf fig last week and he asked why I kept moving it around the apartment. I told him I was trying to find the best light. He just said, 'You're treating it like a piece of furniture, not a living thing. It needs a stable home.' That stuck with me. I've moved it three times in the last month trying to get it perfect. Maybe the stress from moving is worse than a bit less light. Has anyone else found their plants do better when you just pick a spot and leave them alone?

Ever notice how plants get grumpy when you move them? Your brother might be onto something.

Mine always perk up after a good soak and some time in a sunny spot.

Yeah, a sunny spot fixes most things. Josepha32 is right about the grumpy plant thing, though. My peace lily threw a fit for a week just because I turned its pot around. They're worse than cats sometimes. They get all droopy and dramatic over the smallest change. Honestly, maybe we should just leave them alone and let them be moody.
