My bone folder was too smooth, who knew that was a thing
I kept getting shiny creases on my covers, especially with lighter colored book cloth. Turns out a polished bone folder can burnish the fibers and leave a weird glossy line that stands out under light. I sanded mine lightly with 400 grit paper last Tuesday and now the folds look flat and clean. Has anyone else had this issue with synthetic folders, or do the plastic ones behave different?
