Hit book 200 last night and just sat there staring at my press
I started binding as a hobby four years ago in my basement in Akron, and last night I finished book number 200. It was a simple quarter leather rebind of a beat up copy of The Hobbit for a friend's kid, nothing fancy, but when I wrote the number in my log I just stopped. I never thought I would get past ten, let alone 200, and most of them were ugly at first. For the folks who have been doing this for decades, was there a number where it finally felt like you knew what you were doing, or does that feeling never really show up?
