A guy at the craft fair in Boise asked me if I could bind his book with duct tape for extra strength.

Honestly, duct tape has its place and that guy might be onto something. It's cheap, it's strong, and it definitely makes a statement. People get too precious about books needing to look a certain way. If it holds the pages together and gets the job done, who are we to judge? A duct tape binding could be the most durable thing at the whole fair.

Wait, duct tape breaks down over time though. It gets all gummy and peels off. That book would fall apart way faster than a normal binding.

That poor book is gonna be a sticky mess in a year. Feel bad for the guy who paid for it.
