Switched from grease to dry lube on my chain, best move ever

For years I used wet lube on my commuter bike, thinking more grease meant less wear. After a ride through a dusty trail near Portland last fall, my drivetrain sounded like a coffee grinder. Cleaned it all off and tried a Teflon dry lube instead, and the chain runs smooth for weeks now. Anyone else find dry lube cuts down on cleaning time?

Portland dust turned my chain into gravel too, dry lube was a lifesaver.

Yeah @reesel50 I'm with ya, coastal fog ruined my chain too until I switched to a wax-based lube.

You ever notice how no one talks about what happens to your chain when you ride through those morning dew patches on the grass? I live near the coast so that fog just coats everything in moisture overnight. I tried dry lube once but it washed right off after a wet commute. So now I just wipe my chain down with a rag after every ride and it seems to work okay, even with the thick stuff. Different conditions really change everything I guess.
