I used to think grease was grease until a Park rep set me straight

Heard a Park Tool rep at a demo last month say you should never use anti-seize on carbon parts because it can eat away at the resin. I'd been doing it for years on my seatpost and never had an issue, but apparently the aluminum particles in some anti-seize compounds react badly over time. Any of you guys seen actual damage from this or am I overthinking it?

Last year I put anti-seize on a carbon seatpost and six months later it looked like someone had taken a cheese grater to it under the clamp. Never again, but I still use it on every metal bolt I own and sleep just fine.

Man that carbon paste stuff is the only thing I trust with carbon parts. Anti-seize on carbon is just asking for trouble since it eats away at the resin over time. I've seen too many cracked seatposts from people who didn't know better and used grease instead. Metal bolts are a different story though, anti-seize keeps everything from seizing up on you. Why would anyone risk their expensive carbon frame just to save five bucks on a tube of the right compound?

Respectfully disagree, never had an issue with anti-seize on carbon in 15 years.
