Just hit 1000 hours on my offset smoker and the brisket is finally perfect

I've been tracking my cooks on a spreadsheet since I got my smoker two years ago. This weekend, I hit exactly 1000 hours of total cook time. The wild part is, my last brisket was the first one where I didn't have to make a single adjustment to the fire for the whole 14-hour cook. The temp just held steady at 250F. It felt like the smoker and I finally clicked. Has anyone else noticed a big jump in their consistency after hitting a certain number of hours on their pit?

What if the jump came from you, not the smoker's hours?

Maybe it's just me but that feels like overthinking it. Like, how much of a difference could it really make? People have been smoking at all hours forever. Not sure one person's timing changes much.

Ever try just moving your smoke break to after lunch? I was a total morning smoker and switching that one habit made my afternoons way less foggy. It felt like a small change but the focus boost was real.
