DAE practice quick stretches between cuts to prevent shoulder tension?
I've been barbering for over a decade, and my shoulders used to kill me after full days. I learned this from a chiropractor pal who assists athletes, adapting it for our trade. Started doing these 30-second stretches between clients, focusing on rotator cuffs and neck rolls. It sounds basic, but consistency changed everything. Now I set a phone reminder to pause and move hourly. My mobility improved, and I'm way less fatigued. Honestly, it has sessions flowing better because I'm not stiff. Give it a shot if you're feeling the strain.

Honestly, setting those phone reminders is key because it's so easy to get into a zone and forget. I've added wrist flexor stretches too, since holding clippers all day messes with my forearms. It's like a mini reset that keeps the blood flowing, and I swear it makes my cuts smoother, lol. Plus, when you're not all tense, you're way more present with clients, which they totally notice.

Rotate your shoulders every hour to prevent that hunched-over posture from setting in.

It's sad how many trades ignore basic ergonomics until pain sets in.

Watched a guy at the gym the other day doing these tiny, careful shoulder rolls between sets of lifting giant weights. Looked exactly like my barber between haircuts. We've all just accepted that our jobs will slowly turn us into hunched-over gargoyles unless we do tiny, weird exercises in public.
