My sourdough starter turned 100 days old yesterday and I'm honestly shocked it's still alive.

Wow, it's funny how many of us now have these little living projects on our counters! It feels like we're all trying to bring a bit of slow, simple life back into our homes. Keeping a starter alive is a quiet win in a world that moves too fast.

Honestly shocked it's still alive? That starter is basically a pet at this point. You've kept a jar of flour and water alive longer than most people keep houseplants. I'm impressed but also a little concerned for its future. At 100 days it's probably developing its own personality and opinions. You might need to start charging it rent.

What's so shocking about a starter lasting that long? Mine's over a year old and it's just a routine now... feed it once a week, keep it in the fridge. It feels less like a pet and more like a really low-maintenance kitchen tool.
