Watched The Room and then Birdemic back to back, total game changer for my bad movie rankings

I used to think The Room was the king of so-bad-it's-good movies, but after a double feature last Saturday with Birdemic, I saw a clear before and after. The Room has this weird charm and quotable lines, but Birdemic's plot holes and terrible CGI birds made me laugh way harder over 2 hours. Now I'm ranking Birdemic as my number 1 disaster flick. Anyone else have a movie that totally shifted your bad movie tier list?

I read somewhere that Birdemic's director actually believed he made a masterpiece, which honestly makes it even funnier than The Room to me...

Wait, hold on. I gotta push back on that a little bit. From what I've seen in interviews, James Nguyen really does seem to think he made a serious environmental thriller, not a comedy. He talks about the movie like it's a meaningful message about climate change. The way he talks about the special effects and the acting, it's like he's completely unselfaware. Oh man, that's actually a common myth! The director, James Nguyen, knows exactly what he's doing - he's a huge Hitchcock fan and made Birdemic as a deliberate throwback to cheesy 70s disaster flicks.
