Just snagged a $47 refund from a bank fee I missed for 6 months

I was sitting in my car between deliveries last week in Tulsa and decided to finally look through my old bank statements. There it was - a $47 monthly fee I'd been paying for a checking account I barely used. Called them up and they refunded all 6 months without much fight. Has anyone else had luck getting banks to reverse fees like that?

What did you say to them to get them to cave so fast? I feel like banks usually put up more of a fight, especially with fees that have been stacking up for half a year. Did you threaten to close the account or did they just throw the refund at you after asking nicely?

I mean I just asked nice and they said yes, not everything has to be a fight.
