Compared two types of accounting software side by side. QuickBooks vs Xero for 3 months.

Xero handled my monthly reconciliation way faster. QuickBooks kept glitching on bank feeds. Anyone else run into that with their small biz setup?

Had the same problem with QuickBooks bank feeds. Switched to Xero and never looked back. The bank reconciliation is way smoother and less frustrating.

What kind of bank were you connecting when Xero worked better for you?

See I had the Complete opposite experience with that. Xero's bank feeds kept breaking on me and their support was useless about it. QuickBooks has its problems for sure but at least when I call them someone actually helps me fix stuff. I feel like Xero looks prettier on the surface but once you dig in it's just as buggy if not worse. The bank reconciliation in QuickBooks has never given me any real trouble once I figured out how it works. Maybe it depends on what bank you're using or how complex your books are.
